My virgin HitMeNow.com experience..
Two weeks ago, as I was placing my pre-order for Finding Neverland at Suncoast [thanks again, Hal2000], I noticed they had something called a "Just In Bin" at the bottom of the screen which had some DVDs in there really cheap. Being the bargain hunter that I am [gotta support my habit], I clicked on the link. It brought me to HitMeNow.com.
As I was surfing around there, I came across Wrestlemania XX for $18.89, Spider-Man 2 Giftset for $17.99 and Hellboy (Director's Cut) for $7.19
. Now, I had the original version of Hellboy, so I wasn't too concerned with the DC when it came out [I also didn't have any throwaway cash]. However, I kicked myself for not buying SM2 - first at Costco, then at BJ's. I know the stuff included is basically fluff, but i'm a SM fan and besides, I bought the box set for the first flick
. So I threw all the things in my cart and then headed over here to see if anyone had any experiences with this company [positive or negative]. I came across three threads, but they were all a year or more old.
Since I really wanted these discs, I decided to bite the bullet and if it didn't work out, I could at least return the discs and/or trash 'em on here.
Two days after placing the order I received the package. All three DVDs [well, technically 8 DVDs] were in MINT condition. The Spider-Man 2 giftset was open, but the Spider-Man 2 DVD inside was sealed and, though the glue that holds the trays on the "unique" Wrestlemania packaging isn't holding, that's not really that big of a deal. For not being able to inspect the DVDs/packaging [yes, i'm that anal], I was completely satisfied.
HOWEVER..
The next day/day and a half after placing the order, I went to check the order status and poke around the site some more. When I clicked on the items I had already ordered, Wrestlemania was listed for $10.89. On the 22nd, I sent them an email asking if it'd be possible for a price adjustment. Today, I heard from Kathy who sent me an email asking me to call her to discuss the matter. After a short, pleasant conversation, she credited my account $8.68.
So, there you have it. While the response time was kinda sluggish [Kathy said it was due to technical issues and I had a week-long wicked cold so this was the last thing on my mind], I would most definitely shop with them again.

I think they've been better since they partnered up with Suncoast and stuff, though I don't know how much better..I think there was a thread about them a few months ago and there were some unhappy people ...I only bought from them once, over a year ago (maybe longer)...I was happy..

I've bought two different things from HitMeNow.com and neither one was a good experiance. One of the items was just flat out the wrong item, they sent me the wrong thing. The other one was beat all to hell in horrible condition.
They also refused to work with me to fix any of the problems.
So yeah pilot, I was one of those VERY unhappy people.
