Half.com Shipping Reimbursement Question
I've sold a lot of DVDs and CDs on Half.com. What has always bugged me is they charge the buyer $2.49 shipping per item, but only reimburse $1.89 to the seller. I am very thankful to Ebay/Half.com because of the money I have made selling over the years, but I can't understand where the $0.60 goes. Does anyone know? I have sold about 1000 DVDs, CDs, and video games combined on Half.com. That's $600.00 that I feel is stolen from either myself, or the buyers. Does anyone have an answer?
Thanks, Mike

It is another way that Half.com can pad their pockets. But I thought I remember reading on the site they claimed they used it to help pay for return shipping for a buyer if they needed to return an item to a seller.

Even better, back in the day, before they offered discounted shipping when purchasing more than one item from the same seller, they would charge the buyers $2.49 for each item, but then reimburse the sellers $1.89 for the first one and something like $0.99 for each additional item.
It's all just extra money for them.
