Question regarding different CD-WOW sites

I have a question regarding the various CD-WOW sites. I had attempted to order from the site which has the currencies listed in HK dollars. I got error messages stating that the “card purchase was not authorized” and was unable to place an order. (I checked with my card issuer and they saw no problem with my account.)

I e-mailed customer service from the site and received this reply:

“Hello,

Thank you for contacting us although apologies that you are having problems
when trying to order.

This will most likely be because you are placing your order via our Hong
Kong site and opting to pay in HK Dollars from a US Dollar account.

Therefore, please could I ask you kindly to place your order via our US site
by clicking on the following link as you should then be able to proceed
successfully.

http://www3.cd-wow.net/index.php?site_country=us”

I was under the impression that I COULD order from the HK site and the HK dollars would be converted into U.S. dollars (like at DDDHouse). Can’t I order from the HK site or the UK site? (The converted prices on the HK site come out cheaper than the U.S. site.)

Thank you for any info!

rkndkn,

Just use this link instead, you'll save yourself a buck (US) overall and avoid any issues.

Oh yeah, just be sure to click the US flag.

Bill,

Thanks -- would that still work without a MasterCard?
