Blockbuster match prices?
Does Blockbuster still match new release sale prices?
I knew for awhile they were matching, but I don't know if this is still current. What do you have to do for them to match a price (competitor's ad, etc.)?
If they do, is this corporate policy or do you find it on a store-by-store basis?

most stores eliminated this a long time ago. Most corporate-owned stores won't have this anymore. Although a nice manager might allow it.
However, some franchised stores may still have. It all depends on your store.

Some of you may be correct in that some stores MAY price match, but my experience is to the contrary.
I went to 4 different stores in the Indianapolis area and all told me that they DO NOT match prices.
I was going to buy 13 GOING ON 30 & HIDALGO from them. Best store prices for both titles was $15.99, but BB wanted $21.99.
I just did not want to hand over $12 to them!

A follow-up to my previous post:
I responded to Blockbuster in their "Contact Us" section on their web site and asked them to consider price-matching in order to be more competitive.
After a week I received their standard response thanking me for my input.
Probably means nothing will change!

Since there is a Blockbuster just a two-minute walk from my front door, I bought quite a few DVDs from them during their price-matching days. Since they stopped price-matching, I have bought nothing from them, because their pricing is always higher than even other place's non-sale prices.
