A perfect example of customer service- Deep Discount CD

Hi All-

A week or two ago, I posted a thread titled "deepdiscountcd sucks for pre-ordering!." Well... the CS manager was browsing the DVDTalk forum and saw my post. He contacted me directly, and asked specifically what I was unhappy about, so I gave him a nice detail on my frustration. He e-mails me back telling me he is crediting my card for the full amount, and hopes I will still shop with them.

I definitely will now! This is the definition of customer service.

That's great to hear, i think a store with great customer service like that builds customer loyalty. I'd rather pay a little extra to shop at a place with better customer service, than a place that doesnt care.
Fortunately DDD has great prices, and for me has had great customer service, which is why i shop with them before anybody else.
Very cool of them that they check here and contacted you rather than just let it slide.

DeepDiscountDVD (and CD) is VERY aware of DVD Talk. Their storefront is only about a mile from me, and once when I was in there the cashier/clerk was discussing the Internet with a customer, and I overheard him lamenting how if they screw up on an order that "there's this site, DVD Talk" where people will post negative stuff about the company.

Of course, he didn't know I was a member, and I didn't tell him. I felt like a superhero who was shopping under his secret identity.
