How soon do you get orders from Amazon?
I live in NYC and it seems all my stuff gets shipped from the pennsylvania warehouse. I can order something with free shipping and still get it within two days. How are other people's experiences?

I have been getting most of my Amazon shipments within 1 or 2 days. And since many of the shipments are DVD preorders they are arriving a day before or on the release date.

Did you check the tracking? My free shipping orders always have a USPS or UPS tracking number.
. How long does it usually take for them to ship it after you have ordered it?

Amazon is the best in terms of shipping of all the sites I've used. They ship to me from Fernley, Nevada.
2 weeks ago, Simpsons Season 4 shipped on Saturday, and I had it on Monday. It turns out it was defective (Disc 3 was loose when I opened the pack, and it was scratched up), I filled out their return form, and they immediately sent a second copy out to me. It was shipped on the 16th via UPS 2 day, and I had it on the 18th. Disc 3 was loose again (UGH!), but fortunately this time around it played without problems.
Still, it's great service to get two sets in the same week. Great service and fast shipping.
Today, South Park Season 4 shipped, here's hoping I get it Monday, and that all the discs are where they're supposed to be...

Grrrr.....
Me and amazon shipping arent the best of friends right now... I bought the MIB 2-Pack as a gift, so i paid for shipping(only like 4 bucks) they said it would be there in 2-3 days, well that passed, and so did my nephew's b-day, so i just ponied up and got him it from BB. Then when i e-mail amazon, they said that USPS lost it in KY, over 2 weeks ago, and they will reorder it and reship it. Well it shipped thursday and arrived yesterday at my local UPS warehouse. However they didnt deliver it today and since tomrrow is sunday, i wont get it until at least monday.....but besides that they have always been decent....

I just bought season 4 of The Simpsons. Disc 3 was loose and scratched. But all the episodes played perfectly all the way through, so I'm keeping it.
The reason disc 3 was loose is because there's no flap to hold it in. This is bad packaging design. I bet there's a lot of these with a loose disc 3.

I live in PA and it still seems that Amazon is the slowest free shipping ever. I usually always get my Buy.com free shipping items way faster than Amazon these days.

Usually 3 to 4 days after they ship (of course depending upon where they ship from). For some inexplicable reason though my last package left the usual shipment center (the closest to me I believe) went all the way up the coast to another PO, back to the original PO (close to the shipment center that sent it) and now finally it is supposedly on the way to me. An extra week and half has been added

Free shipping is just a crap shoot, not that you can really complain.
It used to be quick, but since the started Prime, it usually takes my orders 10+ days to get here, even though they're in stock. They seem to sit on them for a week or so before shipping most of the time.
But I dont' really care since it's free shipping and I only order from them when I have GCs to spend from my credit card and/or keynote evaluations.

Free shipping usually takes 2-3 days to Florida 99% of the time for me. Although I think I'm having my first lost package with them right now. I have a package sent on the 7th that hasn't moved since. Have to wait until after the 18th before Amazon will do anything.

Not counting the time from when I place my order to when it ships (usually at least several days), my free shipping takes about 2 days if they send it from Fernley, NV, and 3-4 days if it comes from Lexington, KY.

I live in PA, and my stuff always comes from the KY warehouse. I placed an order Saturday night and got it last night (Wednesday), so it usually takes about three or four days for me.
