Blockbuster -- competitor's coupons??

Does Blockbuster still honor competitor's coupons? I recently received some (3) 99 cent coupons in the mail and on the attached flyer it states that it does honor competitor's coupons. In the store today, I tried to get some verification on this and the 2 employees stated that the policy is no longer in effect -- phased out, supposedly by the DVD trade-in promotion. Anyone used a competitor's coupon at Blockbuster lately? Perhaps it's just certain locations and not chainwide.

FYI, I have a Hollywood Video coupon good for up to (3) rentals (movie or game) for 99 cents. Since Blockbuster is closer to me than the Hollywood Video, it would be more convenient.
