According to UPS tracking the package was delivered...but
it's not on the porch, under a bush, in the trees. It's not anywhere.
Now, my sister-in law lives next door. I'm hoping she has the package.I won't know until the morning because my wife and I didn't get home from work until 12:30am.
If she doen't have the package, then that can only mean that it has been stolen.
If it has been stolen, what can I do?
Do I call UPS?Or, Buy.com(where I ordered from).
It's a DVD player,so the box would be hard to hide from someone walking by on the street.
So, what are my options? Will I be able to
A. get another DVD player in place of the one that was taken?
B.Get a refund for $89.99 from Buy.com
Or,C.Get $89.99 from UPS?
Then again, there's D. I'm ****ed.
Any advice you can give me would be grateful.
Thanks in advance.

If it was a "normal" UPS shipment (w/o restrictions), it was automatically insured for up to $100. If your sister-in-law doesn't have the DVD player, contact UPS about filing a claim. Good luck.
By the by, you might want to let Buy.com know what is going on, in case they have their own process for handing "lost" shipments.

Get this. I left a note for the wife to ask her sister if she brought the package into her place for safety.
When she went out the front door there the package sat.Right under the mail box.
Could it be that the delivery tracking was wrong? That it really hadn't been delivered?Do UPS employees maybe come back later if no ones home? I mean, there was no note on the door or anything.
Her sister's out so she hasn't had a chance to talk to her, but, I can't see why she would bring the package into her house and then leave it on the porch the next day(when I say she lives next door,I mean she lives right next door. The house is converted into three apartments. We use the same porch.) As far as I know they haven't had a falling out
Strange, but I am glad I have the DVD player.
Buy.com, by the way didn't even box the DVD player. It's in it's own box. Due to free shipping, perhaps? Or, do they always send the goods that way?
Thanks to all that repied.I appreciate it.

Sometimes the UPS drivers scan things as delivered before they actualy deliver it. Especially if they can drop the package and go. My guess is that it was OK to drop if no one was home, the driver saw this, scanned as delivered to save time and then delivered. It happens.
