do not use www.newdotcity.com to register a domain name
My domain expired and they never sent me any emails telling me to re-register it.
I sent them emails and they did not reply back.
Now I cannot get my domain back its lost.
Someone else will get it from being on one of those services that buys the domain right away when it comes avaliable.

If your domain is still in the Redemption Period, you can still reclaim it. If your domain is Pending Delete, you can still register for one of the "back-order" services and have a good chance of reclaiming it.
For back-order, I would suggest using GoDaddy. I have used their Back-order once, and it successfully snagged the domain I wanted. It's only $18.95, and it's called DomainAlert Pro/Backordering:
