Wal-Mart will match any competitor's ad price, except for ads where a purchase of something is required to get a price on something else (ie: Buy DVD X and get DVD Y for $X.00), percentage off sales, double or triple coupons, or prices that are after a mail-in rebate.

Also with regards to Wal-Mart's ad matching policy, a customer does not have to have an ad present to price-match. CSM's are supposed to have all the ads and letting cashiers know what prices they will honor for that week.
