Given that the first reported coupon was in usatoday, I think their goal was to get exposure among the amazon.com crowd - the people who don't even know about dvdpricesearch.com. DDD's prices usually kick amazon even without the 20% off, and Amazon's customer service has really gone down the crapper over the last couple of years. So even with delayed shipping, as long as the discs make it in time for xmas, I think it entirely possible that DDD will pick up a substantially enlarged customer base.

Roy28, just FYI, - DigitalEyes has the same parent company as DDD, orders ship from the same warehouse.

I know that they ship from the same warehouse (DvdPlanet does too I've heard - I haven't ordered from them in forever, so I'm not sure), I was just using DE as an example. It could be any store - Amazon, Samgoody - Anywhere. I'm just saying that people won't stick with DDD as a result of this sale, when it's over they'll just go back to buying wherever they usually do. Especially if DDD doesn't get their server going, get the backorders in and start getting the orders out.
