my first order with DDD...

I placed my very first order with Deep Discount DVD, DDD, on 11/22/2003 . I ordered Ichi The Killer and Suicide Club, unrated versions of both. Ichi was IN-STOCK and Suicide Club is backordered.

the DVDs shipped together on 11/25. i guess they got a new shipment of SC, i was worried about how long it would take to get in stock, but luckily it was right away.

both DVDs arrived today 12/01. one was loose in the case (more on that later) but hardly DDDs fault and hopefully it will play fine.

so for my first buying experience with DDD i am very satisfied and would definitely use again.

(as for the loose in the case. i wish there was something that could be done for that, like an option that would allow the place you order from to open the case and lay a piece of tape across the disc to hold it in place, or insert a piece of bubblewrap.)

I have been ordering from DDD since they started & have never had a problem. The rare damaged items I have gotten were always replaced easily.

I am never in a rush to get my product. I prefer cheap prices & free shipping so I don't expect my product overnight. If you aren't in any major hurry for an item, there is no other place I order from!

I usually use them for back catalogue titles. For stuff that has been out for a while, they are the best way to go...

About to place my first order with DDD using the 20% coupon this week. Since we touched on the topic of loose disc in the mail, how easy do you get it replaced? Do you have to pay for the return shipping?

No. What usually happens is they give you two options. 1) Get charged a second time and get the replacement shipped right away plus a return label. Then you will get a credit when they receive the return or 2) Get a return label and you'll get the replacement shipped when they receive the defective one.

Personally, I usually choose option one, especially if it is a low cost item because it will dramatically speed up the process...
