Digital Eyes is S...L...O...W

I pre-ordered The Mark of Zorro which was released a week ago. It never shipped. I called last friday to find out why and was told my order had been packaged but never shipped. I was then informed that the warehouse manager "would try to push it out today but it might not be till monday". Today my order shows the movie on backorder. Fair warning to those who like to see their order on (or at least somewhere near) release day. Nice job Digital Eyes.

I think a lot of online retailers are having shipment issues lately. Haven't had any issues with Digital Eyes though. They shipped DS9 S5 and I got it two days later (six days before the release date). I made the preorder a long time ago so that might have something to do with it.

I believe they're shipping out of the same distribution center in Illinois that destroyed DVDPlanet.

Same problem here - I ordered a boxset from them 10 days ago ("in stock - ships in 24 hours"), and I'm still waiting for it to ship.

Send me an e-mail so I can look this up. The movie would show as backorder if all copies have been allocated to orders like yours. I guarantee you that your order is NOT on backorder. Info Center is confusing because when it checks inventory status it can't tell anymore than the item is overcommitted (backorder) or undercommitted.

Actually DVD Planet destroyed DVD Planet, their problems were happening way before they changed distribution centers. We call it bad management and stupid decisions. The distribution center was called in a couple of months ago because the Planet couldn't do it themselves with all their screw ups.

Thanks for the reply. I just sent you an email with a copy of the order confirmation attached.

FWIW, I ordered a great deal from DVDPlanet over the years and never had any issues with them. Unfortunately, I wouldn't touch them now after the recent changes.
