I never go to Walmart without calling them first as they NEVER seem to have the movie I want anymore. They have REALLY gone down hill in the last few months. Sad really as I must have been spending 40-80 dollars a week there but not anymore.

I do like their no receipt policy though. As long as it is not opened whether it be dvd, cd or videogame they will take it and give you store credit.

After a few times doing that though the system will reject your returns and you will be barred from non-receipted returns for 1 year.

You can only do that 3 times a year. After that you can't take anything back.

My local Walmart doesn't carry much DVD selection either. I would just order the DVD you want from online store in that case.

That's not quite true... as somebody mentioned above, you're only barred from non-receipted returns. You can return items with the original receipt as many times as you want.

Or at least, that's been the case for every Wal-Mart I've ever used. Maybe you've had a different experience.

That's correct.

If you have a receipt, return all you like - the system will let you return until your heart is content.

Without a receipt you will have to provide ID and when the cashier punches in your ID it is checked against the computers at the Home Office. If you have done previous non-receipted returns the cashier will be alerted and those return details are then given to the cashier. If you've done more than 3 returns without a receipt the system will lock out the return and refuse to allow the cashier to continue.

If you're losing your receipt that often than I would cut you off too, so I don't consider that a bad policy.
