Amazon.ca Sent Me An Empty Package!

I have been waiting to get Alias Season One on DVD forever, and had it preordered for months. I finally check my online tracking which says that it was delivered today. I go and pick it up, and it is an empty package! There was not one thing in it. No bubblewrap, no invoice, and definitely no Alias Season One. It was a flat boxlike envelope. When I saw it, I thought that there would be a note saying that I would have to pick it up at the actual post office (this sometimes happens with larger packages). But not a darn thing!

What kind of QC do they have to actually have a package shipped out with no inventory in it? Are there zombies working there?

Either that or Canadians ;)

BTW, let us know what they say when you talk to them.

I called, and had no problem. They apologized for the mistake, and sent out another copy. They said that it would have to wait until tomorrow, but I already received confirmation that it shipped today. They also bumped up the shipping for Priority, which means that I should receive it in one to three days. I will post again when I get it, hopefully by the end of this week.

As it turns out, they shipped my replacement Alias set yesterday, and I actually received it today. That was amazing turnaround. I was thinking about abandoning Amazon.ca in favor of Chapters and Futureshop, but after that great customer service, I will give them another try...

Consider this you were lucky enough to have this matter resolved in a timely manner unfortunately for me I shopped with dvdplanet and somehow got charged for some dvd's I have never ordered and never received and I had one heck of a time trying fix the problem.
