I have purchased a couple of time from eCost.com. No problems. Never had a problem so don't know about customer service.

FYI, bought a PDA and some wireless network stuff from them on three seperate occasions....

I discovered the downside to the great price on the item I was considering there: No manufacturer's warranty. No thanks.

Also, they have the worst return policy of any store I have ever seen. It's ridiculous and borderline illegal. They accept returns under no circumstances (Damaged, defective, you name it).

I bought a S-vhs Vcr from them a couple of years ago that was damaged (and not from shipping - the outer shipping carton was unblemished) - It looked like someone had stepped on it - the top of the unit was totally caved in. I called them to request a replacement, they said they don't do exchanges or replacements and hung up on me.

Never again.

Sounds like a winner!

Seriously, thanks for the write-up. This is definitely one to avoid.
