I also received double shipments or wrong shipments in the past, and I have contacted the company to let them know. Each time, they wanted me to pay shipping to send it back (which is expensive since I am in Canada sending to the USA). I usually repackaged the parcel, and just marked return to sender. No idea if the company ever got it or not, but I was not gonig to pay for their mistake...

Guess what the store credited my bank account over $200, which means that they received the double shipment I returned that I was not charged for

Sigh, time to call them back.

Why do this? You are wasting your time dealing with these companies mistakes. If it takes me an extra minute to fix a mistake by a company like this (sending extras) that is way too much and I'll just keep whatever it was. You have spent probably an hour or two dealing with the CSRs and sending back their merchandise, why don't you just let it be?

I can't let $200 that are not mine stay in my account...

But you want to know what the kicker is... it's a Canadian company (I use 90% Canadian for my DVD purchases) so I have to pay each time I call

I couldn't have my time, worth a bit more than $200, wasted by a company.

BTW, what company is it?

Well I called and they said they didn't show they gave me a refund. I told them they did. They said it was not in their records so they didn't. They said to keep it and be merry.

They owed me $30 for shipping and an incomplete refund, so I ended up being $170 richer

Good deal! I had a double shipment occur a few years back - Value America sent me duplicates of 5 or 6 of the first animated Disney titles released to DVD. I found out about it before they arrived, when they left me a message on my answering machine informing me of the double shipment, and telling me to keep it as a "holiday gift". I simply let the extras sit on my shelf and mature - and have since eBayed them for more per titlle than the original total order price.

I would probably contact them to see how I can return the copy. But I wouldn't pay for the return shipping cost since it's their mistake to ship two copies to me in the first place.
