Bestbuy.com is back up, but super slow!

I just tried to get on bestbuy.com and it's working sort of. The site is super slow and then I go to movies and then new release calender and they took down the old one where you could browse by day and now it only has about 3 pages of the popular releases. I want the old site back!

Thanks. Was hoping I wouldn't have to make a trip down there this week.

Er...I don't like the new look and navigation of the site.

Oh, and I hate change.

It doesn't appear to be Opera-friendly like the last one is. Grrr.

Nope, it's not. Just tested it in IE and it works fine. Those JavaScript menus are what's giving me trouble.

I have seen anesthetized sloths move at a faster pace ... and that's using a DSL. Literally, over a minute to load a page. Took me almost 3 minutes just to sign in.

Dial up must be deadly.

I tried signing in and gave up after five minutes of waiting.

I have IE and dsl and get error message instead of a movie page. The site looks cheap to me. Mozilla doesn't seem to be loading at all. Pretty crappy results for a week or more off line.

Also heard last week that these computer updates are for the stores as well and they said in the future they won't be able to check stock at other stores! Hope this was mistaken information. If so, they have just made shopping at Best Buy so unpleasant that I will be through with them.

Too bad we didn't get free $20 coupons this time.

Forget this, I can't even load it, and I'm at work with a fast connection.

It's back up now.

I hope whoever was in charge of this mess loses their job.

Don't forget, they are a technology store. Let them install your hardware and software.

Sarcasm aside, after much waiting, I got through to my account and found my pre-orders missing. Then I was thrown off the site as being "timed out" when it was their slowness in executing that timed me out.

That and not sending the Bond DAD extra DVD, and making us call MGM.

GRUMBLE!

What is this mess?!

We've updated BestBuy.com, and it's better
than ever. The aisles, however,
are packed with shoppers right now.
So, grab a cup of coffee and check back soon.

To check the status of an existing order,
call Customer Care at 1-888-BEST BUY (237-8289).

It died last night while I was browsing....browsing the DVD players, and opened up the link to 'Find a store near you,', then both of them 404'ed, then 'Sorry, we're broken, come back soon.'
How is it said, change for change's sake.....
Definitely don't notice an improvement yet...

And I've heard the new site will be much worse from a privacy standpoint (tracking your habits - but in fairness Amazon does that), and that BB changed their policy on releasing customer info.

Yeah, I know. If I want to buy something I shouldn't have to wait in-line, online. If I want to wait in-line I'll actually go to a store. LOL

I like the new site, except for the in-store pick-up selections. You should be able to do one click and try to mark everything for pick-up at once rather than having to go item by item. Other than that I like the new layout and design.

I hate the new site overall. And on top of that, I cannot sign it because my password is over 10 characters long. So now I have to get a new password. Lovely.

The new site sucks.....Looks like someone didn't take performance into account when designing the site. What'd they do, outsource their web development to Microsoft?
