Does your Wal-Mart put out new releases at midnight every week?

I've been really disappointed with Wal-Mart recently. Although they have some of the cheapest prices, the two Wal-Marts in my area are not putting out new releases at midnight anymore. So, for the most part, I have stopped buying from them (it's a 10-12 mile drive each way).

So, if I want to get DVDs at midnight, I have to go to Towers.

Do the other Wal-Marts put out new releases at midnight?

Wish I could tell you. None of the Wal-Mart stores near me are open 24 hours.

I happen to be at Walmart Supercenter at 2:00 AM Tuesday getting some smokes and noticed they had the Die Another Day Dvd Display Case setup right at the register. About a dozen copies had been sold already.

Going to Grocery Store during late hours: Good
Going to Wal-Mart during late hours: Bad

Wal-Mart just feels unsafe late at night/early morning.

That being said, yes, the Wal-Mart near me will have Tuesday titles out by 12AM.

I kind of dig going into Wal-Mart in the middle of the night.

I'm nocturnal by nature, and have my nights free, and I often do shopping there. Great way to avoid crowds, and there are always a few weirdos there.

You'll see people buying the oddest things, too.

I was in one, late November, at about three in the morning. And there were these two women in front of me in the checkout line who had a cart full of Christmas lights. I'm talking like 100 packages. Of course, I was also piss-drunk at the time. My GF and I were on our way home from a wedding reception, and I had to stop somewhere to take a leak.

I live in Hawaii and we got two Costcos on the island of Oahu. Both are in "suburban" areas so there aren't really any weirdos who come in the store even in the late night hours. So, safety isn't a problem here. The worst thing I get is the attitude of the employees saying, "I have to ask my manager if I can bring out the new DVDs. Snort, sniggle, sniggle."
