Circuit City and no Widescreen???

Has anyone else noticed that Circuit City sometimes doesn't have the widescreen version of a movie?

I went into my local [Gaithersburg, MD] Circuit City today to get Serving Sara... lo and behold, no widescreen, only Full Screen :c(

Needless to say I had to go price match at Best Buy, and that in itself is an unnecessary ordeal! 10 minutes I was at Best Buy trying to get a price match, when Circuit City just does it at the counter. What was funny is that when I asked him, the customer service guy at Best Buy said that BB didn't want to burden its register people with customer service knowledge... which makes me believe that perhaps BB's employees aren't quite as bright as CC's...

Weirdness abounds!

I went to Circuit City last week to buy S1m0ne - which was advertised for 15.99 - and they never even received it.
The really dumb part of this is that I went on Thursday not Tuesday, and they still didn't have it.

LOL, that one slipped my mind... I did the same thing, but on wednesday. They had Bourne Identity, but no S1m0ne. I went to a store about 35 miles away from the Gaithersburg store, and they had ONE copy!

That was weird... I hope it isn't the start of a trend!

The one thing that is getting me isnt CC, its Target. They advertise movies and they dont put them out on time or dont get them on time. The ones around me dont even restock the shelves since Christmas... they have hardly anything at all anymore. All 6 of em! ARGH!!! CC seems to be doing okay here but like all the other stores, they need a better organizational system there. Things are not in order and all over the place. I think Best Buy has the best organization I have seen in my neck of the woods.

The other week, I was looking for 'About A Boy' when they had it for $15.99 and saw a stack of about 20 of them. All of them were Fullscreen so I said forget it. Funny thing is that I came back 2 days later to see if they happened to restock on the Widescreens, and they were clean out. Even the fullscreens were gone, so I guess somebody's been buying them.

Joe Sixpack's been buying them! I have several friends who PREFER fullscreen, even after my repeated attempts to convince them that widescreen is better.

Well I guess you can't win 'em all, but you can try!

I have a graphic I linked to on my site from somewhere that explains the whole widescreen vs. fullscreen debate:

This way anyone who visits my site gets a chance to change their ways :C)
