Also called International Electronics.
I am looking to buy a code free DVD player and have found the Toshiba 2805. $259.00 plus shipping
I have a couple of questions from you folks:
1) Have any of you dealt with this mail order company before?
They don't seem to be listed in the AV survey site.
However, they have been in business since 1979.
They are located in Il Grove IL.
2) Does any of you own this particular Toshiba model?
What do you think of it or do you have any other preferrances?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Tony

You might have to post these questions in the International Forum to get them answered.
It seems to me that some people have bought the Malata code free DVD player from this group and were pleased.

Do you really need to spend that much ? You can just go to Target and buy the "cheap" player the have. It can be made region free very easly.

I purchased the Yamaha DVD-S1800BL 1080p Upconverting DVD SACD Player from Amazon.com on Monday for $79.99. Arrived on Wednesday and I was able to make it region free using the remote control code hack.

Re: 220-Electronics.com
Update: Very reliable seller. Received unit, and it works as described. I purchased it as a backup to my Oppo 981, and I must say that the Pioneer's upconverting isn't even close to the quality of the 981.
I'm happy with the machine, I guess I'm just spoiled by the Faroudja chip in the Oppo...
