Not all UPS customer counters have such long hours.

I had a package at a UPS facility once that I was going to go pick up. Their hours were something like 11am to 3pm Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

But I've had few troubles with UPS. They're very quick, most of the time, with Amazon.com stuff. Apparently Amazon ships some items from Tulsa, Oklahoma, so a lot of things I order get to me in Dallas in no more than 2 days when using UPS Ground shipping.

I did once have trouble with an overnight package. The package was listed (on the delivery date) as being "out for delivery", but the UPS guy came and went without delivering the package.

I called the shipper who then called UPS. Within about an hour, I had the package in my hands. I don't know if UPS just had a planned second delivery to my neighborhood (which seems terribly innefficient) or if my complaining (and the shipper's complaining) made a difference.

There have been a few other times when shipments were listed as being in Mesquite (which is the last place they end up before being delivered to me) but it taking an additional day to get to me in Plano (which is just a few miles away), but those are all UPS Ground shipments and always still arrive relatively quickly.

On the other hand, a friend of mine tried to reroute a package to me (since he wasn't going to be home to sign for the package), but they've made no attempts to make delivery. Of course, knowing my friend, he probably put in my address incorrectly.

Here's something that pisses me off.

1st attempt at delivery today, 3:32, I wasn't home.

Next attempt: Thursday?

Ok, so according to UPS, New Years Eve Day is a holiday? Blow me.
