Have you ever gotten someones snack in your package from Amazon?
I just received my order and to my surprise one I opened the box there were cookie crumbs all over my merchandise. Right on top of everything was an open nutter butter wrapper with and half eaten cookie and another one crumbled into pieces all over my stuff. It is f-ing nasty. It looks like the person putting togethe order "accidentally" left his lunch in my package or he wanted to give me a freebie.

Did you complain to Amazon.com? Perhaps they would offer you something for the trouble.

Yeah I e-mailed them and told them about it and all they said in their replay was "sorry that it happened and taht if any of the items were damaged that they would be happy to replace them." I replyed back that none of the items were damaged but that it was just nasty and not fun having to get trash and cookie crumbs from out of my package. They replied back with
"In addition to a wide selection of items, one of our aims at
Amazon.com is to provide a convenient and efficient service; in this
case, we have not met that standard.
I am truly sorry that we were not able to fulfill your expectations
for this level of service. I hope that you will honor us with
another opportunity to prove the quality of our service to you in the
future.
Please accept our apologies for this packaging error. Although it
certainly cannot make up for the inconvenience this has caused, we
would like to give you a $5.00 promotional certificate, for use
toward your next Amazon.com order."
I guess its not alot but its somthing, jsut hope it doesn't happen again.

I ordered a cast iron skillet and a champagne bottle top pourer. Whoever packed it placed the skillet on top of the bottle top box, crushing it (like sacking a 2 liter of soda on top of bread). It was supposed to be a Christmas gift.
I e-mailed a complaint and got the same "form" e-mail that wb3032 received, but without the $5 GC offer.

First off, I didn't know they handed out those $5GC like candy. I got overcharged $2 and after numerous emails I only got the $5 GC which is nothing since it's a promotional certificate. Second, I found an unwrapped sucker in my package one time. I ate it too, since it was wrapped, figured it was a way of thanking me for ordering so much from them, never really crossed my mind.

So was it wrapped or unwrapped?!?! $5 for a nutter butter... that's a deal. If amazon had a shipping option of cookie crumbs in every package along with a $5 GC, I'd select it every time. Hell, I'd select it if they used cottage cheese.

Dang it, I made a mistake, it was a wrapped, I meant to say it wasn't unwrapped. Anyway, just know that I'm still okay so the sucker must not have caused any problems.
