wrong vertigo shipped from DDD
ordered the orange covered DVD that is listed on their website but they sent me the other one (alfred hitchcock presents one). anyone had trouble with this, i.e. getting different one from the picture listed.
i'm bummed cause i've been wanting the orange collector's edition!

Yes, it's in an Amaray...
DDD simply has the old cover scan up for this title. Just a hunch, but I'm going to say that 99% of retailers that you'll find, old cover scan or not, will have the current cover. Good luck in your search... Great disc and film regardless of the cover but an anamorphic print sure would be nice...

Warning! Tooting my own horn! heheh And maybe a little off topic since this IS the Stores forum.
I made a DVD cover using the orange "swirly" poster image to replace the Alfred Hitchcock Collection Vertigo cover .
For the rest of the cover, I took the back from the Collection DVD and altered the colors to match the orange. For the spine, I used the same orange and used the off kilter Vertigo title from the front as the text.
I posted this cover, along with a replacement I made for Rear Window (using the apartment building poster image), on http://www.dvdcoverart.com. However, that site is down right now, but Matt said it is supposed to be back and running in 1-2 weeks.
