That UHF tape would have fetched a pretty penny in 2001. I know because I spent $40 on one. Then it came out on DVD in 2002...for $9.99

I've only one item I'm trying to sell right now, and I was wondering if y'all could give me an estimate on its worth. It's an original VHS box set of Star Wars, digitally mastered and the last format that George Lucas didn't edit. (Greedo didn't shoot first) in it's original plastic packaging unopened. The item is nearly pristine, with a few dents in the box underneath the packaging, but nothing major.

$23.75 new, but that's what people are asking. Doesn't meant that's how much it's selling for.

Also, people would rather pay ridiculous prices for the DVDs that were released a number of years ago sourced from the LDs than full screen VHS tapes.

Horror VHS tapes seem to be going for insane amounts on Ebay, mostly stuff from independent labels like Wizard or Media. Usual stuff hardly seems worth anything now, one store here has been selling used VHS's 3 for a buck and they still can't get rid of them all.

Even on the high-end, they seem to only go for about $10 or so. It's not worth very much.
