Places to trade-in DVDs?

Aside from EB/EBX, are there any other national chains or type of local stores (aside from pawn shops) that take DVDs for trade-in?

Thanks in advance.

Try Spun.com. You can trade your DVDs for cash or credit. Not offering premium prices but they will give cash.

Dont trade them sell them on DVDtalk or E-bay
you will get a lot less if you take them to some kind of store and sell them

With a little time and effort you can make much more

and if you have any OOP then you can fetch a great price!!!

DVD Talk Main is more for DVD release comments and questions. This is more of a Store Forum question... moving thread.

What are the terms of this? I assume it's not any 3 for any 1 new release. Do they convert the trade-in titles to a price like what they have on their website?

Actually Wherehouse does the 3 for 1 trade every day of the week now, not just Tuesdays. The deal is basically 3 for 1 up to $24.99.

Thanks everyone. I ended up using Spun.com to trade in three crappy discs for High Fidelity. Didn't get as much as I'd like for them, but I can live with it. Interesting concept behind the site, I'd never heard of it before.

Make sure the discs are clean and completely scratch free. They are really picky and will reject things that don't look brand new. That is why they are great to buy used things from, but sometimes aggravating to sell to. They have nice customer service though.

What's WhereHouse's policy on trade-ins? Is it strictly mainstream movies or will they accept music and tv show dvds too on their 3 for 1 deal?

Yeah I'm wondering about Wherehouse music myself. I have a few Twilight Zone volumes I'd like to trade in. I get the feeling those wouldn't apply to the 3 for 1 deal though.

Never had a problem with selling stuff to Spun. I have managed to get a few BBV previewed discs through
