Amazon sends the wrong item.

I ordered NHL 2003 for the PC from amazon.com and received NHL 2003 for Nintendo Gamecube. I'm going through the return/replacement process right now, but I'm afraid I'll have to wait around 2 weeks before I receive the game now. 3-4 days for them to receive my return, and another week-10 days for me to receive my replacement (I got free super shipping when I ordered it).

Will they send out the replacement via the same shipping method or a faster service? It's really annoying returning something online. I might just be better off selling the game on eBay and going in the store and buying NHL 2003 and cutting my losses.

Anyone have any insight on returns with amazon.com?

What did they say when you called them?

Had the same thing happen to me last week, except they sent me someone else's dvd and order form in a box addressed to me. Damn, I was looking forward to watching Hellsing 2. Anyways, I called them and they sent out a replacement via expedited mail. And sent Nawaf A. his DVD and told me to keep it as it would cost too much to send it back.

J-Dubya,

Logon to your account at Amazon and you'll probably see a new order placed by the CSR for the replacement. Normally, in my experience, they send you the replacement and have you send them the wrong item in that box.

You should see the shipping they choose in that order tho.. if it's standard or 2nd day, etc... I'd have to guess tho that if they didnt' say anything and you didn't complain that it was a gift or something, it'd prob go out with the same shipping option as you had before...

They got back to me via email and already shipped out the NHL 2003 (PC) via 2 day UPS. Should arrive on Thursday. Pretty good customer service. I'm shipping the gamecube game back tomorrow.

IT HAPPENED AGAIN. They sent me the Gamecube version of the game. WTF is going on? What's the phone number for their customer service?

Are you sure you ordered the correct version in the first place? It seems awfully stupid of them that they sent the same wrong item twice!

Good luck. Let us know how it goes...

I ordered the first season of 24 DVD last month and they sent me an empty box. I simply emailed them and they fixed the problem

I had this happen with etoys.com before they went out of business... I ordered a DVD and they kept sending me the VHS version. It turns out they had the VHS Version on the shelf in the warehouse where the DVD Version was supposed to be and the picker would just grab it and put it in the box and didn't bother to double check. I eventually got my money back. This could be what happened at Amazon.

WTF! You mean you received an empty carton box from Amazon with all the sealing tapes and the shipping label? Did they include a packing list inside? Couldn't they tell the difference between an empty box and a box with something in it?

Was the CSR hesitant to believe it when you called?

I ordered season 2 of Star Trek the next generation because it was in my gold box for 75 shipped . They sent me season three which is a better season and has one more disk, so I was actually happy about the mistake.
