DeepDiscountCD...why does it $uck?
Hey all,
Dunno if anyone else has experienced anything like this. Placed my order about 10 days ago. One pre-order...one in stock item. Got a confirmation. Done. I kept waiting to get an email about the "in stock" order being sent. Nothing. So since the pre-order was coming out today..i figured i'd place a phone call to find out 1)why the "in stock" item hadn't shipped and 2) when the pre-order was going to ship. First off...took forever to get through. Second...CSR told me "in stock" should have shipped last week as soon as i placed the order and that she was going to ship another. Then when i asked about the "pre-order" she told me that it wasn't going to ship until the 21st or 22nd...a good 5 days after the title is released. Factor in the shipping times...and good luck getting it within 2 weeks of release time. I asked her to cancel that order because it was $3 cheaper at CC/BB anyway and that's just ridiculous. Anyway...checked my status today. Not only has my "pre-order" not been cancelled but the "in stock" item still hasn't shipped. I'm about an minute away from cancelling the whole thing. I never really had a problem with their DVD counterpart but they're really not on the ball for the CD's. |

i can't give you any insight, but i can say i had the same exact experience as you did. i just cancelled the pre-order, they had a decent price on the other one. this was back in early june.

i don't know about preorders but i ordered a couple of cd's from them about 3 weeks ago with absolutely no problem. :thumbsup:

I placed an order a few weeks ago with the $2.00 off coupon, was a in stock CD and I had no problems at all... their customer service was a bit slow getting back to me when I e-mailed them (took 2 days) but the CD arrived in an acceptable time frame. I have yet to place an order with DDD, so I was not sure what to expect.

I placed an order with them on 09/03 for 3 CDs. One CD shipped and I got it. Just yesterday (09/19) they're telling me another one shipped. No information about the third. No indication if the title is in stock or not on the website. Some service. :rolleyes

Would you like to know that they STILL have not cancelled my pre-order and STILL have not shipped my "in stock" title? Methinks i'm just going to cancel the entire order. This is ludicrous.
