DDD Free gift update..
Just received my free gift for an order I placed some time back with the "free gift code". It is a "Pearl Harbor" hat. I actually received 2 of them. Anyone else who gets their gift please list it here. Way to go DDD. Glad to see that they (eventually) honor their word.
EDIT: I received my 3rd Pearl Harbor hat today. How did I get so lucky?......

I did e-mail them about it (and cancelled an order I had with them at the time) but they didn't really do anything about it until a lot of people here started complaining about it. The order that I used it on is almost a month old now. Doesn't hurt to try.

I used the free gift code too. It took 2 weeks to get the dvd I ordered. When I opened the shipping box, the only thing inside besides the movie was an offer for receipe cards, with 3 free cards. Not believing this was the free gift, I was about to email them when I saw I had a message from them. It was an apology saying they forgot to send the free gift and that they would send it out priority mail.
That was over a week ago. Still no sign of the free gift -- BUMMER
Update: 8/31/02
I decided to call to find out what was going on. Well, I'm sorry to say they lied in their emails. The free gift was sent out 8/28 and it wasn't sent priority mail. Hopefully it was sent and I'll get it sometime next week.
Having problems with their site is one thing, lying to customers is another

Still no free gift. Emailed them and they said they would send another. I'll believe it when I see it

I wasn't really expecting anything, and didn't contact them about it. The order with the free gift was from over a month ago, and there was no note about the gift when the DVDs came, so I just forgot about it.
Today, a Pearl Harbor hat showed up, in a box by itself.

Got my free hat too today but just like the free Sopranos hat from HBO, it's a little snug fitting.
Either they're making hats smaller these days or my head's gotten too big

Anyone else get the e-mail about the delayed gift & STILL receive nothing? It's been over a month. I hate to go complain to them about this - especially if it's just a Pearl Harbor hat, but somehow an e-mail & nothing feels worse than nothing & nothing...

Honestly, I wouldn't have cared if I never received anything, because I love DDD. However, since they sent the e-mail indicating I should be getting it, I was looking forward to it. I'll probably call them again next week, and let it go after that...
