A Best Buy repair service complaint
Two years ago I picked up a Yamaha HTR5150 at Best Buy, and bought the extended plan. In Feb, the machine broke, it kept on overloading and shutting itself off. I brought it into the store, and they sat on it for over 2.5 months, telling me that a piece was on backorder. I finally called their corporate number, and the day I did so, the part happened to come in. This week, the reciever broke again, with the same problem as before. When I called Best Buy, and asked if them if there was anyway to bypass the repair and get a replacement, I was told by a customer service representative int heir corporate office" We have all your complaints noted from the last time, and you will have to wait for it to break 2 more times".
What bothers me isn't so much that the machine broke again, it is the way that they did nothing the first time until I complained. I am afraid that the same thing is going to happen again. If it was any part other than the reciever, I wouldn't be too upset. As all of you know, it is a pain, to hook everything up to it, and since I have a feeling that the machine is faulty beyond repair, I am going to have to go through unhooking, and hooking up the reciever 5 mroe times before they replace it.
Am I overreacting here, or do people think that my complant is legit?
