Amazon changes free shipping policy
Now orders over $49 ship free. Formerly it was a $99 minimum.

Be careful doing this to previous orders (pre-orders). I had an order totally paid for via STL, $5 promo GC, and regular/stackable GCs; however, I had paid $4.96 for shipping. I e-mailed Amazon saying that I wanted to change my order to the free shipping, but I was worried about losing my GCs. They responded saying that the free shipping would not raise my order value, so I would be fine…Well, once I changed the shipping, my $5 promo GC and my stackable GCs were gone. I had to hassle with a order specialist for about 20 minutes to get things CLOSE to the way they were before the switch. Basically she re-applied my stackable GCs, but she could only give me free REGULAR shipping ($4.96) and not re-apply my $5 promo GC. Basically I'm out $.04, which isn't much, but I should have had an extra $4.96 in my GC balance to apply towards another order.
The order specialist said that if you have an order with STL, promo GC, and GCs, it is best to leave the orders alone. Their system does not handle changes involving many discounts well.
Just FYI!!

I replaced a canceled order yesterday and one of the item went up in price (from $19.99 to $22.49). So I called amazon and the CSR adjusted the price for that item for me. The subtotal was correct, but the promo GC (a 10% amazonnivery) changed from $11.XX to $4.XX, effectively losing 7 odd dollars! The CSR seeked help from an OS and both had no freak'n idea. Finally, I had then canceled the whole order, hanged up and placed it again myself.
The only seemingly safe time to change an order (price adjustment) is after it is completed, in which case they would issue a refund instead of messing with the item price.
