Anyone else get "dumb" empty shipments from CDNow?
I just placed an order with CDNow again after a long drought of 15% coupons. I got a couple of earlier shipments with DVD's in them. OK, that's fine. Just yesterday though, I got a small DVD box in the mail from them where I thought great! Another DVD from that order.
However, it was an empty box with paper packing and two small copies of their promotional flyers, and a receipt for those two promotional flyers.
Huh?!!!
Come on CDNow. I would like to think you could not waste money on stupid shipments like these and lower your shipping fees instead for the real products, or else give us more frequent 15% discount coupons or 40% off specials like you used to.
I'm guessing that these flyers were supposed to have come with my earlier shipments but it wasn't ready to ship with them earlier, so they decided to ship them now now that they are "in stock", even though none of us getting orders give a rat's patootie about getting them.
I guess the mentality that sees fit to pay tons of money for those insidious popup ads is spreading to shipping and fufillment houses too...
