Total Movie--
Thanks for your assistance in this forum, without it, I'm sure that the magazine would have lost a lot of subscribers already. Could you look into it to see if the 40 dvds have been shipped to me yet? Name: Karl Wong. thanks again! |

Glad to read I'm not the only one still waiting for the 40 movies. (I'm a W)
stevet: Do you think it's wise to advise people to post their name and address in a public Internet forum? Perhaps advising them to send that info to Total Movie privately is a better idea. |

Originally posted by RDYoung Every time I've called TotalMovie, they've only needed my name and zip code. I think it's unwise to include more unless specifically requested. I have my stuff sent to my work address, and I'd not like that stuff on the forum. I suggest name and zip. Clearly, name by itself is not reliable, nor is trying to get service out of Total Movie by e-mailing them (based on what I've read here, and not my personal experience). |
Originally posted by Mazz TotalMovie and All, I got my 40 pack in the mail yesterday 5/8/2002. YAHOO Please accept my greatest thanks for helping me get what I ordered...even though it took 10 months...but all is well now. I think that for anyone who has waited as long a some of us have there should be some kind of GOOD FAITH amends made by the company. be it an extention of subscription time ,free back issues, tee-shirts, baseball hats, 30 day supply of valium or just something to say that TotalMovie magazine is SORRY for the gross delay! Anyhow thanks again for your help!!!!!! Removed personal attacks. -stevevt |
All - First name, last name, zip will usually be enough. Sometimes I go into the database and it shows that the mags have been sent out to you...so I then need an address confirmation...though we should be able to do that just by your name and your street name.
On that note - Renaldow - I need your name to look you up. Michael Streeter, Chris Straghalis - do not see you on the list of 40 movie packs that recently went out...I will see what I can do for you from the office. Brian Eberling - a label was made to ship you issue 7 on 4/17...I imagine the package went out shortly thereafter. It likely went media mail...so give it another week. Your friend Lavelle Glenn got into the system March 19th...that he got a magazine already is a huge testimony to TM getting better...but he would be subject to the 8-10 week processing period on the 40 movies and the DVD player. ****FYI**** After comparing your posts over the last few months with the mail list, 40 movie packs were sent out from the TM office first class to the following people earlier in the week: Robyn Young, Kelly Wouters, Del Tague, Alexander Zernovoj, Andrew Richards Jr., Thomas Perconti, Chris Poole (wonder if you're going to get 2 packs Chris?), Jay McCready, Karl Wong, Sara Schrank, Tom Nickerson, Russell Silbiger, Rob Oliver, Rob Pierce, Adrian Stubbs, Andrew Rubio, Clay Luckett, West Moran, Bryant Durrell, Michael Strickler & Adam Gott. Thank you all for your patience. |
Dear Total Movie-
I subscribed last September, and have only received issue #7 (the one with Kelly Hu on the cover) Is there any way I could get the other issues that have come out so far? I've called numerous times since September, and every time I'm told they would get them out to me, but I never get anything. On the plus side, I DID receive my 40 movies yesterday! Thanks! Mazz - totally understand your frustration and your request for additional goodies. Unfortunately, that's just not something I can do. Your first posting here was 4/19. By 5/8 you had a replacement copy of the latest issue and your 40 movies. Ya, you may have had some email and phone nightmares with TM...hopefully the quick response here makes up for that. All I can do for the most part is try to facilitate the process.

got my 40 movies!
TotalMovie (and anyone else who cares),
The 40 movie package was in my mail box when I got home from work today and I am one happy camper. Haven't viewed any of the disks yet but am confident they'll all play perfectly...and I know where to come if they don't. I'm hoping that this is a sign that the TotalMovie magazine subscription and premium fulfillment department is finally getting on track and that I'll see my next magazine issue arrive on schedule, with a subscriber's label and without TotalMovie's intervention. Thanks to you, Mr TotalMovie guy, for all your help and support. They couldn't pay me enough to do what you do - enduring all the barbs and crap thrown at you here for things beyond your control, trying to make amends and keep people happy. And one last question to TotalMovie, for now... On April 22, you mentioned here that there were limited numbers of the Oct/Nov issue available. On April 23, I posted to you in this forum that I would really like to receive that issue and would gladly pay the price to receive it, but I received no response to that post. (I think you had a few other issues on your mind.) Any chance that I can purchase a copy of Oct/Nov from you? Thanks again. sjs Sara Schrank Stevens Point, WI 54481 |
TotalMovie,
I haven't received the 40 movies yet, but i got the latest issue of the mag. Can you double check to see if the 40 movies were sent out with the shipment you sent on Apr 25 through the office? My names Sukhbir Atwal and I live in Rio Rancho, 87124. Thanks in advance, and for your help on the forum. |
TotalMovie,
it was only a request and what seemed to me as a thing your company should do to make better customer relations! [QUOTE] Your first posting here was 4/19. Ya, you may have had some email and phone nightmares with TM...hopefully the quick response here make up for that. ___________________________________________________ If I had not "stumbled onto" this discussion I would still be waiting to get my stuff. also, no matter if I got my order on 4/20 it would still have been 9 months late.... that is the problem!!!!!!! how can you tell me that you made up for anything by sending me my order that was paid for 9 months ago? 10 MONTHS LATE...thats still my problem!!!! Maybe it would have been easier to just do a refund and get rid of the damn complainers....jeez... ????????what do these people want???????? they order something...pay for it...AND get what they paid for????? SO WHAT THAT THEY HAVE BEEN IGNORED FOR MONTHS AND MONTHS!!!!! JUST BE HAPPY THAT YOU GOT YOUR ORDER SO FAST...BY YOUR WAY OF THINKING...IT ONLY TOOK ONE MONTH!!!!! NOW YOUR STARTING TO SOUND LIKE THE "PHONE SUPPORT" PEOPLE. I realize that you are not in charge of the company....what I posted was a request, for you to pass on to the powers that be! Why is this so hard to understand???? anybody else feel the same as I do? Or am I out of line??? if so I will never post again!!!!!! |
TotalMovie, what is a reasonable time for me to wait for the magazine? I e-mail a few times and got sent the Dec/Jan issue. I haven't received Mar/Apr or May/June (not sure if that issue is out). You have sent out 2 copies of the Mar/Apr and I've not received them.
Mazz, I understand your frustration. I was going bonkers till I got the 40 movie pack. I've received 1 mag and the 40. I hope to get my full subscribtion and confident that with some persistence (and help from totalmovie hehe) that I will. It is unacceptable that people have to put forth so much effort to get their subscriptions sent. I love the magazine (only mag with dvd that I know of) and am bummed I won't be resubscribing. Unless some miracle happens with the 5 issues, I can't imagine gambling more money. Chris Poole Newport News VA |
I just got my 40 movie pack yesterday (5/8/02), and it was shipped via Priority Mail. (I was in the list TotalMovie gave a few posts back.) I haven't watched any of the films yet, but there are a few I'm definitely excited to see.
Thank you, TotalMovie, for taking care of me. ;) -Kelly |
TotalMovie, I signed up last year, almost immediately after the 40 movie offer was announced.

quote: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Adrian Stubbs - sending out the 40 movies to you directly from the TM office as you do not appear to be in either of the 2 mailings that has gone out. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Thanks TotalMovie. Let me tell you that when I called the customer help line and spoke to a person live, they told me that my DVD's went out with the second Batch. ( I was suspicious due to the Total Movie track record and I posted to this thread to c.m.a.) I think if I was Mazz, I'd be counting to 10 slowly after reading this. I think you need to let the people answering the phones know that being "fobbed off" is not good customer service. Being told the truth, even when it is ugly is better than a lie or a quick answer to save the effort of actually finding out what the truth is. I can only assume that if I hadn't responded to this thread, I still wouldn't have been sent the movies. Can you confirm on deny this ? Good Day |
TotalMovie, I just wanted to follow up to say that I received my 40 movies yesterday (4/8/2002)
Thank you very much for following up on this. |
Received my 40 movies today.
Thanks! Russ |

Yes, I think it's horrible that it took so long for you to get your first mag. If it were *my* company, I'd probably do something about it. Unfortunately it isn't, so I can't. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones, since I have gotten every issue since I subscribe, although I don't appear to be on the movie list :) Perhaps what might be better, if you'd like to get across to the powers that be, is to write out a well thought out letter lettign management know of your feelings, perhaps with quotes from this thread (and others) and suggestions on how they might improve their customer relations. I know that many companies (unfortunately not all) take such letters very seriously. I don't think that TotalMovie (the DVDTalker) was trying to downplay your request but certainly it may have come across that way. I believe what he(?) is saying is that he really doesn't have the ability to do anything different for you at this time. Of course, I don't think any of this is a reason for you not to continue posting :) |
Still no movies yet. Maybe tomorrow...
Any news on the dvd players? |
TotalMovie, I got my 40 movies in the mail Wednesday. Thanks for all your help, we appreciate your concern for customer service. If not for your helpful posts and answers I would have given up on TotalMovie mag long ago. thanks again, Steve Russell.

40 movies received!
Now for the player... Thanks Totalmovie! robyn |
Thanador - should be able to take care of you monday.
Robyn - some DVD player progress. Your name is on a FedEx mailing label and the player should ship next week. ***All who ordered DVD players***I am told that about 100 are going out next week. The names on the list are in the order of when the order was taken. More DVD players are coming to satisfy the remaining subscribers who went for that offer...I do not, however, have an ETA. Apocrypha - unfortunately, while I lobbied for you to be included among those DVD players shipped next week, I lost. The decisions were made solely on order date and I couldn't override. You have 2 choices at this point. Either call the cust. service number and get a refund for the DVD player & shipping or wait it out...sorry, wish I could have been more helpful. Skywalker - need your name to look you up. Sukhbir - your 40 movies were sent when we last corresponded. They did, however, go media mail. If not there in a few weeks, please let me know. Be back monday...good weekend all. |
