Almost two years ago I tried and everytime it got declined - called the 800 number and they couldn't help me one bit. So I gave up - after having around $6 in pending merchant charges (a dollar each time I tried -- then it takes a few days for that to get cleared). I know some people get it to go through, but I never had any luck.

i haven't used one there, but if you do get it to go through, DO NOT select in-store pickup. They basically won't give you your merchandise if you don't have a phsyical credit card, and then you're screwed!
Hasn't happened to me, but I have read about it.

I just used my webcert at bestbuy.com and it took it ok. I logged in to my webcert account and saw a pending charge in the same amount as the order amount. It all looks good so far.
Perhaps it has something to do with the renumbering of the webcert card number a while back due to security issues at webcert.
