I placed an order for 3 books at half.com using a $5.00 off $20.00 coupon. Today, I recieved an e-mail that one of the books had been canceled by the seller because he no longer had it. This will drop me below the $20.00. Will they try to charge me $5.00 more now? If so, how the heck do I contact them? I can only find links to FAQs at the web site.

My experience is if that happens, the coupon still applies.

Something similar happened to me a while back. I used a coupon with an order, was charged, but didn't receive one of the items. I got a refund for the missing item, plus shipping both ways, and the coupon still applied even though it kicked down below the coupon minimum.

Is shipping included in the $20 you must spend to get the coupon, or only the actual item price before shipping?

Never mind. I just tried the coupon. The $20 has to be the total before shipping.

A quick update on this. One of the two remaining books has already shipped, but Half canceled the other one because the seller never responded. So now the $5.00 off $20.00 coupon is a $5.00 off $7.75 coupon. As long as the coupon still applies, I'm not complaining. :-)
