Uh, yes- the sound stayed in the center channel the whole time. No difference at all in the left and right signals, and sounded like it had something done to it on top of that.
On the movie "Omaha" it said Ultra-Stereo in the end credits, but was presented mono on the DVD as well.
BTW has anyone else not been able to play the director's intro on the "Scrapple" movie? My Pioneer keeps locking up through it but my PS2 plays it OK so it might be an authoring error (I'd go buy another disc if it was carried with the magazine in the stores just to make sure.)

Alan - Omaha was in mono. Scrapple should be in stereo. That is the way the source was given to us. In fact, everything on the disc is encoded exactly as the assets are given to us. So, you will hear that the Twin Peaks trailer in the production note has nice stereo ambiance to it while other pieces don't....or that some of the theatrical trailers like Scooby Doo on March/April have clearly defined stereo, and others don't.

I was wondering about the upcoming MGM movies. Will they all be in their original aspect ratios?

Also, for example, I looked at a copy of Species the other day and noticed that the transfer is anamorphic widescreen. Will the Total Movie version of the film be anamorphic as well?

Thanks!!!

I just got a big box of movies from Total Movie. Since I hadn't received an issue until a few days ago since last year, I figured I was just never going to see my magazines or my money again. Then one day I get the magazine and the next day I get this big box of movies (40 movies) shipped to me. Crazy. Decent selection of films that I'd want in my library but would never buy. Funny how that works. Thanks Total Movie.

August'2002 Issue

Talk about timing! Wife and I just came home from seeing "AP-3" and laughing out fool heads off and what is in the mail box but the August Issue of "TM&E" ...All I have to say is... the short "EVIL HILL" is great! And really hope that some how it also shows up on the next Austin Powers DVD!

At first I thought that the Post Office had lost the DVD! While I was able to clean the glue off the disc! I hope that others did not receive their disc damaged or with glue on the edges!
