Ebay & Half.com are Combining Feedback?

For those sellers who have both ebay and half.com accounts, what are you going to do?

Here's a the text in a link I received from a recent email from ebay/half.com:

We have determined that you have an account at eBay with the same email address as your Half.com account. Below you will have the option to merge your accounts, including your feedback.

As a part of the merge, all Half feedback will be translated into eBay feedback. To read more about how the feedback system is changing, click here.

Do you want to merge your Half and eBay accounts, including your feedback?

Yes, combine my Half.com and eBay accounts under my eBay account, including my Half.com feedback.

Yes, combine my Half.com and eBay accounts under my eBay account, but permanently discard my Half.com feedback.

No, don't combine my eBay and Half.com accounts. (Choosing this option means that will have two independent accounts at eBay. In order to keep your accounts separate we require another email address for your old Half.com account.

Feedback will be translated in the following way:

Half Feedback Score Translated eBay Score
5 - 4 Positive
3 - 2 Neutral
1 Negative

I'm thinking of dumping my half.com feedback since I have 22 (5)'s and 2 (1)'s. i really dont want 2 negatives showing up on my feedback and I don't want to use 2 different email addresses.

I'm combining my feedback...I have 85 positives on Ebay and 59 on half.com (and fortunally no negatives or neutrals...) so my choice was easy.

I'm still undecided on what to do. I have 29 positives on half and 1 neutral with no explanation. I don't want a neutral to show up on ebay since I haven't gotten any there yet.

when you make the changes to your half.com account before 3/15/02, you get a coupon for $5 off $20.

I'm not sure if these are one time use codes, or just one time per user, but here's the code I received (and just used) - it would be nice to see if anyone else is successful with it:

coupon code: halfebay5

good luck

Can someone post the URL?

I have accounts on both with the same e-mail address, but I haven't received the e-mail notification from them. (Or I accidentally junked it.)

It's a one time per user code and apparently anyone can use the code.

Someone in the half.com coupon thread in the dvd bargin forum posted that they used it sucessfully without having accounts at both half.com and ebay.

That's the message I get when I go there and try to log in. Hm. Maybe they're just testing the merging with select customers, or maybe they're doing them in batch waves. Anyone else have accounts with the same e-mail address and hasn't been notified to merge them yet?

Hmm... I sell at both Ebay and half.com and use the same email address. I never received an email like you stated.

I wonder if they have a faq or something on it.
