800.COM......what happen

This is the site that got me started back in March 97 on DVD's.....I am very sad now. I have a SERIOUS problem with though. My wife gave me a $50 GC for Christmas and the experation date is tomorrow. I was going to order last week but couldn't find any movie I really wanted, so I waited. WRONG!!!!
I come to work yesterday only to read DVDTalk newsletter about 800 going out of business. DAMN IT!!!!

So what do I do now? Is any other company offering ot support coupons or GC? I am so disappointed....someone please give me some advise.

I would logon their site and buy something ASAP... it doesn't look like they stopped taking GCs or anything.. just buy something that shows in stock and not a pre-order. Even if you don't keep it (use as a gift or something maybe?)

Thats what I'd do... attempt to use it ASAP before it's too late.

Yeah even if it's something you dont want... soemthing you can return to a local store or something maybe?

It's probably too late to dispute the charge with your CC, but you could try calling them and asking your options.
