Did Blockbuster only get full screen versions of American Pie 2?
I went to check out a Blockbuster the other day to rent something to while away a Friday night. I would have rented American Pie 2 - except for the fact that every copy of their "guaranteed to be in stock" DVDs were full-screen? Did this happen at your local Blockbuster?
I complained to the manager - who just grinned and shrugged his shoulders. Looks like I might be checking out the Hollywood Video selection later this week.
Screw you Blockbuster.

Not exactly anything new... it's one of the MANY reasons I haven't set foot in a Blockbuster for over two years (well, except that one time they sent me a notice for late fees on movies that I, of course, never rented - heck, I owned them both)

Blockbuster always carries pan & scan over widescreen. Over 20,000 people have signed the petition to make 'em carry widescreen dvds...

I'd suggest you jump on the list.

Im the assistant manager at the Blockbuster here in Millington, Tennessee. We got 7 Widescreen dvd American Pie 2s and 70 full screens for rental. We then had half and half on our sell thru DVDs both for the Unrated version and regular version.

At Movie Gallery (Clemmons, NC), we got 5 Fullscreen/Rated R and 47 Fullscreen/Unrated....this was because Universal was "sold out" of the unrated ones for about a week and we got the 5 "to tide us over." (sure)

My local Blockbuster got all widescreen/unrated versions. I couldn't believe it. Unfortunately, I had already rented the rated version from Hollywood Video (free due to being out of stock).
