well
it was a long haul with TOTAL MOVIE magazine, but i'm finally squared away. i signed up on sept 17 and had the worst of times trying to get what i payed for. i was about to just give up then "totalmove" started to reply to posts in this fourm and i gave him a shot . to make a really long story short everything that "totalmovie" said in terms to my acct was right on the money . i had problems with my subscription end date, missing issues, missing free dvds, & to top it all off my free dvd player did not work. the dude corrected all of the above and got me a replacement player out to me in less than 2 weeks . i just wanted to thank mr totalmovie and let all of the ranters here know that at least in my case everything is a-ok. thanks again

Total Movie still no issue (mar/apr). I know mail can take a while though. I'm interested to know about the 40 dvd also, if mine have been sent.

Wow, lots to answer. Forgive me if I miss someone.

Robyn - I do not have a tracking number for you for your DVD player. While the internal calendar showed the players going out at the end of last week that did not happen. I too am not happy. While I am told the labels are printed and the players should ship in the next few days, I can't be firm...because I don't ship the things. Hell, I don't even work in customer service. ***I will let you know as soon as they ship and I will get you a tracking number....your 40 DVDs, however, are on their way.

Everyone L-Z (Robyn, Sara, Jay, Thomas P) - the 40 movie packs are on their way. Some of you should be seeing them by the beginning of the week. ***note that if you subscribed or got into the database after March 12th you are still in an 8 week waiting period. Those who fall into that category will have their 40 movie packs sent to them in Mid May.

Boobie, Sukhbir, Mazz - sending your 40 movie packs out from the TM office tomorrow....

Steven Feustel - your address is now correct in the database. I suspect that issue 7 did go to the old address. We are sending you out a replacement to the correct address.

Pharo - your replacement magazine went out the same day as Sara Schrank and she just got hers a few days back. So, hopefully yours will be there shortly.

Damfino - Rick - Your 40 movies will be sent from the office in the next day or so....otherwise, just because of the way it got into the system, it would have gone out May 18th.

Karl - you should be in the latest shipment of 40 movies on DVD which is in the mail now

Apocrypha - There is a processing lag in everything. renewals and initial subscriptions alike. So, you subscribed on March 10th. You got into the Quickfill database on March 25th. The "pull" of names for issue 7's initial shipment was on March 12th. The issue went out the 22nd. So, you missed the initial pull. Given the timing of your subscription processing you should be in the supplemental mailing which is now in the mail.

I ordered your magazine and the 40 DVDs and you charged my credit card $39.95 on 11/5/2001. I understand that the DVDs have been delayed, but I have yet to see a magazine or anything. On March 13 I sent an e-mail to [email protected] to let you know that my address has changed recently. Even though the message did not bounce back, I did not receive confirmation of receipt of the e-mail.

On March 22, I sent another e-mail to customer_service[sic]@insidedvd.com stating the above and letting you know that I have still not heard from you or received anything. Of course this message did not bounce back and I did not receive a response.

I am a very patient and understanding person but this reeks of extremely bad customer service and overall business acumen. Your company has held onto my $39.95 for almost six months with nary a sign of life from you.

So, what's the f-ing deal?!?

I subscribed back in September, I think, it was right after people started seeing you back. I have been receiving the magazine all along, but I have yet to receive the DVD's are they coming soon, it seems that alot of people that subscribed after me have received theirs. It is encouraging that there are so many posts and feedback here, though.

GatorDeb - I can't answer that question as far as universal remotes are concerned. There probably is an extra one around here somewhere. I will look into it. Your one of those cases that got the DVD player and not the magazines... we'll, obviously we're not trying to screw you. Need your name so I can check your status in the database.

Robyn - I don't have anything for you yet. Remain as wonderfully patient as you have been about this and I'll take care of you like I took care of Kelly W ;-)

I ordered this in late November and have emailed every email address I can find on their web site.
I just found this thread so here goes.

I have not received any Magazines at all.
I have not received any of the DVD's
I never get any replies to my emails.
I was charged right away in November last year.
I do not know my account number off hand.
