Is this a sign of the apocalypse?
Even weirder is that they got unrated on DVD but R-rated on VHS. Hmmm, maybe they feel that DVD consumers have more sophisticated tastes? Of course, if that was the case, they'd be in widescreen! (yup, they're Pan-and-Scan).

I hope this does not grow into X-Rated titles being rented. I take my kids to BB to rent a movie and the pictures on the front of some of the DVDs are very inappropriate for younger kids. I would have to stop taking them to BB and just pick up a DVD for them.

I think it's safe to say that you'll never see X-Rated titles at Blockbuster Video.......

I believe I received a mailer from Blockbuster advertising the Unrated American Pie 2 DVD. That struck me as pretty odd.
I can't remember what their policy was. Wasn't it their policy that they would not carry NC-17 videos, but would carry unrated videos (with a parental warning sticker on the front)?
Should there be any surprise that they are carrying the Unrated DVD?
