Can't find the Grinch in widescreen!
What's the deal.....I went to Sam Goody, K-mart, Target, Wal-mart and none of them had the Grinch in WIDESCREEN.
Has anybody had any luck?

Target Camarillo, CA had just one or two W/S out @ 8:00 A.M.
($17.99 with free Grinch Snow Globe watch)
Wal-Mart Oxnard, CA had maybe 8 W/S out of 50-60 copies.
($17.24)
This is a scary world in which we live!

Just got back form CC all the Grinch dvd were full frame, I had to ask for if they had any left. The person who helped had to go in the back and get one for me. BTW got it for $16.99.

I'm definitely noticing a LOT more fullscreen copies in the Boston, MA area... not as bad as, say, Cats & Dogs or Willy Wonka. But there definitely aren't many widescreen copies out there.

I had a very difficult time finding a widescreen Mummy Returns a few weeks back. However, the Best Buy I visited to get POTA and U2: Elevation this morning had about 400 copies of the widescreen Grinch and about 50 (all in the family movie section) of the pan and scan. I took this to be a good sign. I sure hope this Best Buy wasn't the exception.

Sam's Club and Blockbuster all Full Screen in my neighborhood.
(I was just looking because I was curious which version they had. No interest in actually buying this.)

No trouble for Grinch in widescreen at my local BB in NJ, but I did have trouble with Cats and Dogs.
Its seems pretty rare that a pan&scan is released by itself (without the widescreen version included). After Cats and Dogs I am watching more carefully.

I just started at Circuit City and we have tons of the Widescreen edition since everyone buys the pan and scan version. I had a Joe 6 Pack come in today looking for it and told him that there were both versions. He told me he wanted the one that "fitted" his screen which was his way of saying Pan & Scan. He told me he uses the zoom(!) feature to watch his "bad" discs (widescreen). I asked how big his tv was. You guessed it, 52" big screen tv. And he's worried about not using a few inches of the screen.
