How long should you wait before notifying store of "missing" shipment?

A rather large order ($200+) was shipped from DeepDiscountDVD on Nov. 5th. Their shipping confirmation e-mail says "allow 5-10 days for delivery". It has now been 14 days and still no sign of the package... I understand that due to recent events some people have reported that shipping times have increased. So how long should I wait before notifying them?

NOTE: No, they are not stopped at the border. I have all my orders shipped to a friend in Arizona.

Hmmm, anyone know where DeepDiscountDVD ships from?

I've had one such problem with Deep Discount and they want you to wait 2 weeks--actually, they tell you 10 business days.

if it doesn't arrive within 2 weeks after first being shipped, they will send out a replacement. Mine actually arrived about 1 day before the 2-week period was up! Normally I don't ever have a problem with them.

Deep Discount has been my favorite vendor lately primarily due to their free shipping, but more importantly because they have a customer service phone line where you can talk to a real human if you have a problem!

Well, it once took 3 weeks for a package from DDD to reach me (and this was before the recent events).

Their site says they're located in IL and with the delays the post office has been having, you might want to give a little extra time.

I've had packages sent via USPS Priority mail take 3+ weeks to arrive... it sucks, but have patience.

If you call now and they send a replacement out, and then the first order arrives, then your friend has to deal with sending the 2nd shipment back, etc... It's probably easier to wait another week and then call.

That's what I would do.

Well I was prepared to wait another week but I got an e-mail from my friend this morning and the package has arrived! Sorry for wasting your time.

Of course now I have to wait for my friend to ship the package to me!
