Best Buy in Fairview Heights, IL broke street on the Phantom Menace

I'm visiting my parents in Southern Illinois for a little while and I went to the Best Buy in Fairview Heights, IL on Tuesday. I was thinking about picking up Snow White, when I noticed the Phantom Menace on their shelves....they only had about 15 copies of it out, and it was in the action section I think (not the sci-fi/horror section.) I picked it up at $22.95, and then on next Tuesday I'm going to take my receipt in and have them give me the difference plus 10%. If they give me any problems I'll just tell them they can be fined for breaking street date and see what happens. Anyway, just a heads-up to anyone that might want to pick it up early.

This is the Best Buy closest to me. I bet if I drive there, they'll all be gone. I know what answer I'll get if I call and ask if they have any. I've got enough new movies to hold me off until Tuesday.

If you ever want them to break street again on other titles you would want to get early, you won't do this.

I went to the Rams home opener and started to fall asleep during the 4th quarter.

Best Buy has a 30 day price matching policy...if you buy something and then it's on sale next week they will supposedly refund the difference and an additional 10%. However, they usually put up a fight about doing so every time I've tried. This time if they try to refuse to honor their own policy, I have the fact they can be fined as leverage. How exactly does that make me a bad person in your eyes? Think about things before you post them.

I did think about this before I posted it. I stand by my original assessment.

If it was there, it's not anymore. I scoured their selection and I either was mentally screening it out or they've taken it off the shelves/it's sold out.

I also checked Circuit City & it wasn't there. This was at about 5:30.

I somehow doubt Best Buy really cares if you threaten them with this. They'll find some way around it.....this is you against a big company. Like in that Julia Roberts movie with the wonderbra.

You mean the movie where the company got poked in the eyes by the perky nips attached to those bulbous melons!?!?!? Got a better analogy? He might think he's in for millions with his threat.
