Costco shipment notice for Snow White?

Did anybody else get their shipment notice from Costco for Snow White?? I got my email today (Tuesday, October 2) - what an awesome deal! The 2-disc SW set plus Fanatasia for $19.xx with tax & shipping!!

Anybody know where they ship from? If it's on the east coast I should have it by the weekend!

I got one too, and was wondering the same thing! I'm really impressed with shipment this early. I'll definitely consider them in the future for pre-orders that I'm eager to get as early as possible.

I haven't gotten any e-mail from them yet.

My order status says 'In Process.' Should I expect that I may not get my DVDs by release date?

I got my shipping notice too, and was wondering the same thing. Looking through their site, they seem to imply (but not directly state) that the shipments come from Washington. Should be here by the weekend!

No notice here. Order Status is still in process...

(I live on the west coast, and ordered it with Little Mermaid. Wonder if that made any difference)

the shipments come from Washington
Well, from the site I gather that they bill from Washington state, but don't necessarily ship from there. Not in today's mail, FWIW.

I haven't gotten a shipping notice either. I, too, order it with the Little Mermaid, but I'm on the east coast.

Like many stores, Costco is taking pre-orders for Snow White+one other disney title. You purchased the certificate and filled out the information. Costco promises that Snow White+the second disney title delivered to your mailbox. Cost: $18.49+tax.

I ordered SNOW WHITE and received my shipping notice on Tuesday for my first copy and then received my second notice (for my second copy) on Thursday.

I placed both orders on the same day. A friend also ordered his on the same day in August and has NOT received his notice. Go figure!

I did have a problem with Costco in that I ordered the wrong second Disney title--and they said they could NOT cancel the earlier order (this in August, mind you for shipment in October!!). Their warehouse system did not accept cancellations even for unshipped items!

So, buyer beware--don't try to cancel items from Costco unless you are absolutely sure you want that item!

Got mine today, as well. Looks like they might be shipping based on the 'free title' you selected.

Sadly, I have no idea where they ship from.

I had a friend actually call Costco since he didn't get an e-mail yet. He was told the SNOW WHITE was shipped from Washington (state of) where Costco's offices are.

The missing piece of information is the carrier that Costco uses and which shipping method. If it's USPS, remember Monday is Columbus Day and USPS does not deliver on that day.

dvdirv: I believe that USPS Express mail is still delivered on some holidays. I remember asking the mailman and he said they did deliver on certain holidays.

Yeah, but who ordered this via Express Mail?? With the overnight shipping costs, you'd be *much* better off buying this at a B&M. Besides, using Express Mail negates the benefit of getting the free DVD - you might as well buy them separately!

My point was that USPS DOES deliver on certain holidays. I never said that it would be a feasable option, or even that Costco.com offers express shipping as an option.

I agree with you that you would be better off buying in stores, but some people (albeit a small number) are fanatics and want the movie asap, even at a much higher cost.
