I just got an email from a company called 9ninety9dvd.com advertising DVD's for $9.99 plus s&h (hence the name) even new releases. Are they legit? Has anyone bought anything from them? If so, are they quality DVD's or crappy copies? Any info would help. Thanks.

No, they are not legit. They've been mentioned recently in this forum as well. Searches are always good.

A good sign that a retailer is not legit is that they sell bootleg DVD's. How can you tell they are bootleg, you ask?

We all no Star Wars has not been released on DVD yet, but they have it there. Same with other movies.
