I've used paypal with my bank account for a year now, and not any problems at all.

Yes, it's ok. I use it for receiving auction payments, and also for paying for auctions I win. Haven't had any problems over the year and half I've been using it.

NOTE - if you have a net based account (e.g. Netbank) you won't be able to verify against it. Probably because the account signup is not as strict as with other banks, like Citibank.
