Preordering at DVD Planet

DVDPlanet is great. They usually ship a few days before release via Priority Mail, so you often get your titles on (or about) the release date.
One of my only complaints about them is that they do not send out e-mails to let you know when items shipped. You place an order, they say they've received your order, and then you have to wonder when you will ever receive it.
Otherwise, I can highly recommend them. Great prices and a history (over 10 years, way back to the laserdisc days) of great service.

Pre-order from DVD Planet
I have ordered numerous times and it had been great.
Since it is near by (in S. CA) and I am in N. CA, I usually received my DVDs on Sat before release date or Monday.
Most times, the DVDs arrived and being in-stock on their system on Thursday.

DVDPlanet is owned and operated by Image Entertainment. I have pre-ordered Image titles and gotten them almost a week before street date. A word of caution though, they used to charge a flat 2.50 for shipping one time on your entire order. Now it is 2.50 for the first item and .50 or .75 each additional item. I recently ordered 5 discs and have thus far received four of them in 3 separate orders, each order with the initial 2.50 shipping charge. When I get the fifth item, I presume it will also have the 2.50 shipping charge. The release date on one or two of them had been postponed, so it is not really DVDPlanet's fault, but they do not have an option to "Wait until order is complete before shipping". So you might want to factor in the extra 2.50 per disc on pre-orders.
Also, sign up for their e-mail newsletter, they have weekly sale items that are really good deals, although it kills me to see a DVD I paid $20 for 3 months ago and haven't even opened yet on sale for 14.99. I have been very satisfied with all of my orders from DVDPlanet.

Been ordering DVD's & lasers from them for the past 5-6 years and rarely order from anyone else. Great prices, fast shipping (especially on preorders
) and good stock of discs.
