And let's not even talk about some of their business practices - such as opening a store across from a decent M&P operation, lowering their rental fees to the point where no one can possibly make money, and then just waiting until the M&P runs out of money.
I haven't worked with them since the end of 1999, and I do not miss the games they played, both with other stores, the studios and their suppliers.

BlockBuster sux
I had a tape rented from them several years ago. I had returned it on time (probably via the drop-box method, the memory is a little fuzzy now.) I had even rented titles since that point and no one ever said anything to me. One day in the mail I rec'v a two-dollar and some odd-cent recipt that they had taken the liberty of charaging to my credit card. I called them to find out what the deal was. They told me that I had turned in a tape late and they had taken the liberty of charging my card for it. I bitched and ciomplained at them, and in retrospect should have filed a complaint with my CC comapny, but ended up telling the clerk on the phone to cancel the account and that I hoped they enjoyed their 3 bucks. I was a pretty heavy user of them too up until that point. It took over 4-5 years for me even to step foot in another one. Bastards. To this day I still refuse to rent anything from them. I hope they rot in hell...excluding the good people that are just trying to make some cash of course. 'Cause working retail blows and I speak with the voice of experience.
Hollywood Video gets my rental business generally.
