Ever get DVD's late???
I just order Phantom Menace from CDNOW, though I'll be really upset if they fail to get it to me on the street date.

Does this happen frequently?

Depends where you order from. CDNOW, actually, is one of the best (if not the best) when it comes to pre-order shipping. Almost 100% of the time the pre-orders go out the Friday before street date, and it arrives the day before street (with regular shipping!). I know Amazon botched some pre-orders (which is why I no longer do any business with them), and I haven't had enough experiences with any others to really say. Besides, CDNOW is one of the cheapest, also, so why bother?

Every preorder I have ordered from CDNow since April has arrived by the Saturday before street date.
